The work was originally planned to be done with a film camera, but unfortunately due to the quarantine and not having access to a darkroom on campus, the work was done with a digital camera. However, I can see its advantages, as it allowed me to use various editing software to add a magical atmosphere to the photograph.

I've always been fascinated by beautiful architecture and when I had the opportunity to San Fransisco, I knew I had to shoot the Palace of Fine Arts. This venue was new to me and something I've only ever seen through photographs. When I arrived, I was instantly captivated by its beauty.

I came across my father’s work and wanted to honor his passing. What greater way to pay tribute than to recreate it? While photographing, my oldest son (named after him) wanted to partake. After seeing my sons photographs it became clear that we needed to create a multigenerational piece.
