Building the collection

Every Spring as part of the Student Art Show, awards are given to the students, the largest award is the Presidents Art Award. No matter if the work is for sale or not all of the artwork is judged by a committee that is comprised of a student, classified staff member, the gallery coordinator, a faculty member and the college president. The 5 member group selects artwork that they feel best represents the spirit of Creativity, Community and Imagination. Those that are chosen are asked if they would they would like to sell their artwork to the college. If the student agrees to sell their work, it is then added to the Presidents Art Collection. If the Student declines to sell the work to the college they still receive an award certificate. This collection is comprised of artwork sold to the college by the students.
